Roussos antiques shop, founded in1920, is located in the center of Athens at 3 Stadiou Street Kalliga Arcade, and it offers a wide range of high quality works of art.
Our collection contains ancient Greek items, icons, decorative items of the 18th and 19th century, silverware, porcelain, furniture, bronze statuettes, clocks, jewelry and in general high quality Greek, European and Asian antique works of art. Every item is chosen for its artistic perfection and authenticity and if required it is personally restored by Nicholas and Marilena Roussou, 3rd and 4rth generation owners of this family business, with utmost care based on their experience and scientific knowledge.
The history of the Roussos antiques firm dates back to 1908 when Nicholas Roussos maintained an antique shop in Constantinople. Moving to Athens he opened an antique shop in Pandrosou Street at Monastiraki.
The founder of the firm Nicholas Roussos kept the shop until 1940 having his son Homer Roussos on his side. In 1945 Homer Roussos took over the business, which was located at first in Pandrosou Street at Monastiraki to move later at Syntagma Square, 3 Stadiou Street, where it remains until today.
His deep love for works of art brought his son Nicholas Roussos in the family business in 1969 where he remains until 1989 when he took the initiative to establish the business in a new privately owned shop in the same address. Following the family tradition, Marilena Roussou started her personal business dealing with antique works of art and restoring old painted surfaces, paintings, icons and works of art.
